Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 19:00 was opened, the exhibition space at the Hotel Vis à Vis Dukes of Trieste, the exhibition of Luigi Merola.
The exhibition entitled "etc. .. ect ..." is a natural evolution of the show which ended last December at the Dada Gallery in Foligno that clearly showed the qualities of the artist in the field of art recycle.
The exhibition is devoted to the work of sculptural Merola and highlights how the artist can play with the recovery reinterprets sapientemente e trasfomandola in arte.
Particolarmente interessanti sono le opere dedicate alla letteratura dove l’artista, grazie ad un intelligente equilibrio, di carta riciclata e “copertine” di piombo, unitamente a minuziosi particolari di recupero e tocchi di colore, ricrea dei libri che sembrano casualmente appoggiati su mensole o tavolini pronti ad essere ipoteticamente sfogliati quale una sorta di invito a riprendere il gusto della lettura.
A sottolineare poi il percorso post-moderno e di recupero industriale ci saranno -quale testimonianza- una serie di opere realizzate attraverso l'assemblaggio di materiali cari all’artista quali, legno, scatole, putrelle, ferri, latte, la cui trasformazione sarà an exciting discovery for visitors to the exhibition.
