Massimo Vitali, Maurizio Galimberti, Piergiorgio Branzi, Mimmo Jodice, Franco Fontana, Gianni Berengo Gardin, Ferdinando Scianna, Gabriele Basilico. They are the protagonists of the two days that the MAXXI dedicated to contemporary photography, Saturday 26 and Sunday, February 27, 2011 . To them it is dedicated series of eight documentary films ITALIAN PHOTOGRAPHY, produced by GIART -Visions Art, which will be screened at the Auditorium of the museum.
series ITALIAN PHOTOGRAPHY, appreciated by audiences and critics in numerous film festivals around the world, has eight films on the major contemporary Italian photographers and will be introduced by Robert Koch, in the presence of the director Giampiero D'Angeli, 's author Alice Maxia and producer Luca Molducci . In premiere, the documentary about Massimo Vitali.
In each film (which lasts approximately 50 minutes) is the artist himself to tell without mediation between him and viewer. The story is accompanied by a view of famous or lesser-known photographs, which help to define the poetic author. Alternate indoor shooting, carried out in the photographer's studio and outdoor work or in the most significant for its location, engaging in a direct relationship with the protagonist and his world.
documentary films are produced by GIART - Visions Art, Bologna, under the auspices of the Film Library of Bologna (DVD distribution in collaboration with contrast). Info and trailer: www.giart.tv .
For the occasion, Saturday, February 26 will also be presented the book MAXXI Architecture. Photography. Collections (Electa).
