 started in 2007 and directed by Filippo Maggia, with the aim of creating a 
 permanent collection of contemporary photography and video artist.

 From October 2011 Photography Foundation in Modena activate a Master of Higher Education on the image 
 contemporary art, a biennial trail for those who have identified 
 photography and video as the primary means of their artistic practice. 
 The main purpose of the course is to enable students to build their own 
 professional profile in the field of video-camera, providing a solid foundation and methodological criticisms 
. 
 At the end of two years, graduates will be able to identify concepts, 
 resources and techniques needed to develop a project cycle in the image field of art. 
 The master does not just offer moments of traditional training courses but outlines five thematic parallel complementary 
 (visual culture, the history of photography, design, iconography, 
 methods and techniques) will be conducted through lectures, workshops, seminars and workshops, 
 taught by a faculty composed of industry experts and prominent figures of the international art scene 
. 
 The master provides the theoretical and methodological tools to develop the skills necessary to e      collaboration 
 self-photo of a video project of high professional level. 
 Through a training process that promotes active and creative participation, students will be helped 
 to define your own artistic language and to formulate original paths of research. 
 Through continuous dialogue between the system  formativo e ambito professionale, il corso valorizza i 
 lavori e le ricerche degli studenti, promuovendo il loro inserimento nel sistema dell'arte 
 e della fotografia. Accanto alle attività didattiche, infatti, verrà dato ampio spazio al confronto diretto 
 con gli esperti del settore. Gli studenti saranno inoltre coinvolti attivamente nelle numerose iniziative 
 ideate e sostenute da Fondazione Fotografia nell'arco dell'intero biennio (esposizioni, residenze d'artista, 
 pubblicazioni, seminari).
