new show at Palazzo in Bomarzo Orsini
Beyond the city walls. Through events, workshops and debates Beyond the city walls opens with a reflection on the profound artistic phenomenon defined as "post-graffiti."
The initiative was inaugurated on 26 March with novel site-specific works, created by artists for the charming Renaissance rooms of Palazzo Orsini, at the second edition of the NATIONAL EXHIBITION OF CONTEMPORARY ART "The city and the human," Prize "Center" 2011, dedicated to the 150th Anniversary of the Unification of Italy and awarded by the President of the Italian Republic Giorgio Napolitano. The City of
Bomarzo on this occasion to offer artists a period of residence and a space separate from the art system and free from market logic, for the realization of their works.
The exhibition aims to illustrate the results of recent research and at the same time the evolution of styles, genres and forms of expression: painting, sculpture, lettering to graphic design, from illustration to video. The theme "The City and the human" will be the punto di partenza e ispirazione per i nostri giovani talenti, oggi artisti emergenti nel mondo dell’arte contemporanea, esponenti di quel fenomeno artistico definito come “post-graffitismo”.
D. Marco Tomassini: a meeting to explain, discuss and dialogue on the phenomenon of writing in terms of sociological and artistic.
